CP 190 CERTIFIED QUALITY AUDITOR (CQA) PREPARATION

This course meets for 4 consecutive days starting Monday, November 2nd and concluding Thursday, November 5th.
This course covers the fundamentals of auditing that you and your company need to know to develop, administer and operate an auditing organization. The operation of an efficient and effective audit program is a vital management tool to ensure the requisite quality within your company, within your suppliers, and with your sub-contractors.
The course covers the ASQ Body of Knowledge required for those individuals who have the experience and education necessary to consider taking the Certified Quality Auditor Examination and who desire assistance in preparing for it. The course runs for four consecutive days.
Topics: The covers the generally accepted Quality Auditing Practices for both Internal and External Quality Auditing Applications.
Objectives:
· To have a thorough understanding of an audit program and what auditing can do for your company,
· To have knowledge and understanding of auditing methods and techniques,
· To be able to use the auditing techniques in your work,
· To have an understanding of what constitutes the make up of a good auditor,
· To cover the Body of Knowledge required for those taking the ASQ-Certified Quality Auditor examination
Classroom Techniques:
The classes will feature, lecture, individual participation, group problem discussion, case studies, role playing and quizzes to test understanding. The CQA Primer from the Quality Council of Indiana will be given to each participant, as well as another course binder that will be used as the principle class guide.
Course Content:
Definition of Audit Terms, ASQ Code of Ethics, Audit Types, Applications and Specific Terms, Sampling for Audits, Organizing for the Audit Function, Staffing and Training the Audit Function, Audit Scheduling, Conducting the Audit, Reporting Audit Results, Corrective Action and Follow-up, Supplier Audits/ Survey, and Statistical Concepts.
Who should attend?
Managers, who need to understand the audit function as a management tool and their contribution to a successful audit program, Auditors, Analysts, Coordinators, Facilitators, Senior Staff, Specialist, and Supervisors. The course reviews all areas covered by the ASQ Body of Knowledge; therefore, anyone who has registered to take the ASQ – CQA Examination will benefit.
Prerequisites: none.

2. This course will be held if there are at least 3 registered and paid attendees.
3. Do not pay the course fee until you are notified by the instructor that the course will be offered.
4. The Instructor will contact you if the course IS held or if it is NOT held.
A continental breakfast, morning and afternoon breaks and lunch are included in the tuition.
Payment for the course is due by the first class session unless prior arrangements are made with the Registrar.
